XR Challenge – How we envision the virtual future
🚀 🌐 The future is unfolding – and it's happening in the virtual world! 🎉 This spring, we kicked off the XR Challenge at evosoft, inviting colleagues to team up and dive into an exciting, months-long development adventure. The mission? To create their own XR application using Meta Quest 3 hardware and the Godot Engine.
🎮 7 teams – 3 months of development – 1 unforgettable experience!
The grand finale of XR Challenge took place on June 4 at evosoft’s Budapest headquarters. Each team presented their unique VR creations to a panel of expert judges – including VR specialists and university lecturers. Visitors also had the chance to try out the applications firsthand and vote for their favourite!
💡 The goal of the competition wasn’t just to showcase technical skills – it was also about pushing the boundaries of immersive VR through creativity and teamwork.
🏆 So, what kind of projects did the teams create?
Each of the seven entries brought something brilliantly unique to the table. The jury ultimately awarded the title of Most inspiring project to ‘ÖKÖR-szem’ team, which stood out for its engaging VR experience and the exploitation of the many functionalities of VR technology.
The Audience Award winning team – EvoArcade – also impressed us with their outstanding solutions, such as storytelling behind the development Nevertheless, all the teams have developed impressive and high-quality apps.
✨ It was a truly inspiring afternoon where both tech-savvy visitors and curious newcomers discovered exciting VR experiences – and got to try them out firsthand!
